SGBJ has signed an agreement with Jordan River Foundation (JRF) to launch the co- branded card "Protect a Child". This initiative was adopted by the bank due to its belief in the importance of JRF's "Child Safety Program".
The agreement was signed by Mr.Nadim Abaouat, SGBJ’s Deputy General Manager and JRF Director General Ms.Valentina Qussisiya.
This initiative was adopted by the bank due to its belief in the importance of the "Child Safety Program" (CSP).
Since 1997, when the CSP was formed, JRF intensified its efforts to strengthen the family unit through enhancing positive child-parent relationships and promoting positive family dynamics.
Parallel to the establishment of the formal family protection system in Jordan in 1997, JRF launched the CSP with operating and developing services on all fronts; awareness, prevention and intervention. This program, unique to Jordan and the Arab world faced many challenges upon its establishment, because of the sensitive nature of the subject. Today and through ground-breaking efforts, the Foundation continues to be a pioneer by bringing this sensitive issue to the consciousness of Jordanian citizens and decision-makers.
Through "Protect a Child" co- branded card, 53% of the bank’s revenue from every purchase will be donated to the program at no extra cost to the cardholder to help make a difference in the lives of those children.
